MMJKY Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the MMJKY Scholarship 2026, students must meet the conditions prescribed under the scheme.

• The student’s mother or father must be registered as an unorganised worker with the Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh.
• Engineering students must have secured a JEE Main rank up to 1,50,000 and taken admission to an eligible government or private engineering college.
• Medical and dental students must have obtained admission through NEET to MBBS or BDS courses in eligible government colleges. MBBS students in private medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh are also covered.
• Students admitted to eligible law courses in National Law Universities or Delhi University through CLAT or an institutional entrance examination can apply.
• The scheme covers eligible undergraduate, postgraduate, polytechnic diploma and ITI courses.
• Graduation, integrated postgraduate and dual-degree courses offered by Central or State Government universities or institutions are also covered.
• Eligible paramedical diploma, degree and certificate courses offered by government medical colleges or related institutions are included.

MMJKY Scholarship Benefits

Under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, the Madhya Pradesh Government bears eligible education fees. This mainly includes admission fees and the actual payable academic fee determined by the applicable fee regulatory authority.

For private engineering colleges, the government pays ₹1.50 lakh or the actual payable fee, whichever is lower. Eligible medical students can receive support for the applicable payable fees, subject to the scheme’s conditions. Law students admitted to eligible institutions can also receive fee support.

However, mess charges and caution money are not covered under the scheme.

How to Apply for MMJKY Scholarship 2026?

Eligible students can apply for the MMJKY Scholarship 2026 through the Medhavi Kalyan Portal by following these steps:

1. Visit the official MMJKY Scholarship portal and click on the student registration option.
2. Enter the required personal details, including name, date of birth, parents’ details, Class 10 and 12 information, Aadhaar number, Samagra ID and the parent’s unorganised worker registration number.
3. Enter your current and permanent address, email ID and mobile number.
4. Submit the registration form and receive your User ID and Password.
5. Log in to the portal using your User ID and Password.
6. Fill in the application form with your institution, course and qualifying examination details.
7. Upload the required documents, including photograph, marksheets and fee receipt.
8. Carefully review the application and make corrections if required.
9. Lock and submit the application online.
10. Take a printout of the submitted application and forward it to your concerned institution for verification.

MMJKY Scholarship Payment

For students studying in government institutions, the payable fee is transferred to the institution’s account. For students in private institutions, the payable amount is transferred to the student’s Aadhaar-linked bank account, according to the source information.

Can students receive another government scholarship?

If a student is already receiving benefits under another Central or State Government scheme, only the difference amount may be provided under MMJKY rather than paying the full fee again.
