
SSP Pre Matric Scholarship 2026-27 online application has been started by the Government of Karnataka to provide scholarships to school students from economically weaker sections and various reserved categories. SSP Pre Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Social Welfare Department
Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 1-8)
- Student must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- Annual family income should be below ₹6 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 1 to 8.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 9-10)
- Student must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- Annual family income should be below ₹2.5 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 9 or 10.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Scholarship for Children of Parents Engaged in Unclean Occupations
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Studying in Class 1 to 10.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
- Parent’s Unclean Occupation Certificate is required.
Tribal Welfare Department
Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 1-8)
- Student must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- Annual family income should be below ₹6 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 1 to 8.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 9-10)
- Student must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- Annual family income should be below ₹2.5 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 9 or 10.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Backward Classes Welfare Department
Prematric Scholarship for BCWD PM YASASVI
- Student must belong to Category-I, 2A, 3A, or 3B.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 9 or 10 in a Government School.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Prematric Scholarship for NTSNT
- Student must belong to Category-I.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 1 to 10.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Minority Welfare Department
Prematric Scholarship for Minority Students
- Student must belong to Muslim, Christian, Jain, Sikh, Parsi, or Buddhist communities.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1 lakh.
- Must be studying in Class 1 to 8.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Agriculture Department
Mukhyamantri Raita Vidyanidhi
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Only girls studying in Class 8, 9, or 10 are eligible.
- Must be a ward of a farmer.
- FRUITS ID is mandatory.
MMRVN for Agricultural Labour Children
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Only girls studying in Class 8, 9, or 10 are eligible.
- Must be a ward of a farmer/agricultural labourer.
- FRUITS ID is mandatory.
Labour Department
Pre-Matric Scholarship
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Student should be studying in Class 1 to 10.
- Must be a ward of a construction worker.
- Labour ID is mandatory.
Sainik Schools
Prematric Scholarship for Students Studying in Sainik Schools
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Student should be studying in Class 6 to 10.
- Must be enrolled in a Sainik School.
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
DTE (Junior Technical Schools)
Stipend for Junior Technical Schools
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Student should be studying in Class 8 to 10.
- Must be enrolled in a Junior Technical School (JTS).
- Must be a domicile of Karnataka.
Department of Fisheries
Scholarship for Fishermen’s Children
- Open to all categories.
- No income limit.
- Only girls studying in Class 8, 9, or 10 are eligible.
- Must be a ward of a fisherman.
- FRUITS ID is mandatory.
