Department-wise Eligibility Criteria For SSP Post Matric Scholarship Schemes

—	Hostel Fee	SC students staying in Government or approved private/college hostels with HMIS ID.
—	Day Scholar Maintenance	SC students not residing in any hostel.
Tribal Welfare Department (ST)	Fee Reimbursement	Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh, studying in any course.
—	Hostel Fee	ST students staying in Government/approved hostels with HMIS ID.
—	Day Scholar Maintenance	ST students not staying in any hostel.
Backward Classes Welfare Department	Fee Reimbursement	Category-1: Income below ₹2.5 lakh. 2A/2B/3A/3B/OBC: Income below ₹1 lakh. Applicable for any course.
—	Post-Matric Scholarship	Category-I, NT/SNT & OBC students not eligible for Vidyasiri Scholarship.
—	Vidyasiri	Category-I, NT/SNT & OBC students who applied for BCWD hostel but did not get admission.
Minority Welfare Department	Fee Reimbursement	Minority students (Muslims, Christians, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis & Buddhists), annual income below ₹2.5 lakh, any course.
—	Merit-cum-Means	Eligible minority students must apply through both NSP and SSP.
Department of Technical Education	Fee Reimbursement (SC/ST)	SC/ST students with annual income above ₹2.5 lakh and below ₹10 lakh, admitted through KEA-CET in BE/B.Tech, B.Arch or Polytechnic Diploma.
—	Defence Scholarship	Children of serving Army, Navy or Air Force personnel (Non-Commissioned Officer/Junior Commissioned Officer & below), no caste or income limit, KEA-CET admitted BE/B.Tech/B.Arch/Diploma students.

Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board	Fee Reimbursement	Brahmin (EWS) students with annual income below ₹8 lakh, studying in any course.

Disability Welfare Department	Fee Reimbursement	Differently-abled students not eligible under any other department’s scholarship. No caste or income restriction, applicable for any course.
Labour Welfare Department	Fee Reimbursement	Children of registered construction workers, no caste or income restriction, studying in any course.
Agriculture Department	Fee Reimbursement	Students from farmer families where a family member owns agricultural land and has a FRUITS ID. No caste or income restriction, applicable for any course.

How to Apply Online for SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2026-27?

Follow these steps to apply online:

First, you must complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the NSP (National Scholarship Portal).

Step 1: Registration

1. Visit ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in
2. Create an account using your Aadhaar and mobile number
3. Verify using OTP and fill in your personal details

Step 2: Application Process

1. Log in using your User ID and Password
2. Complete your student profile
3. Upload the required documents
4. Select the scholarship scheme under your department
5. Review and submit the application

Documents Required

Make sure you have these documents ready while applying:

• Aadhaar card (student & parent)
• Income and Caste/EWS certificate
• Ration card number
• Fee receipt from institution
• Hostel ID (if applicable)
• College/institution registration number
• UDID/Disability certificate (if applicable)
• Valid mobile number and email
• Address details with District, Taluk, and Assembly constituency

Note: Registration in KUTUMBA Portal is mandatory for the students to apply for scholarship in State Scholarship Portal. KUTUMBA Registration and KUTUMBA ID Link is given in Important Link Section.

• For the students to complete the application submission Process in SSP, it is mandatory that the student’s academic information for the year 2026-27 is available in either the UUCMS portal or the concerned University/Board pushes the academic data of the UNIDATA server.
• For a student to apply as a hosteller in SSP, it is mandatory that the hostel registration information of the students is available either in the State Hostel Portal (SHP) or in SSp-HMIS Portal.
