SSP Pre Matric Scholarship 2026-27 online application has been started by the Government of Karnataka to provide scholarships to school students from economically weaker sections and various reserved categories. Through the State Scholarship Portal (SSP), eligible students studying from Class 1 to Class 10 can apply for scholarships under different welfare departments.

SSP Pre Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Common Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility conditions are generally applicable to most SSP Pre-Matric Scholarship schemes:

  • The applicant should be a domicile of Karnataka (where applicable).
  • The student must be studying in a recognized school in the eligible class for the respective scholarship scheme.
  • The applicant must satisfy the category/community requirements specified for the selected scholarship scheme.
  • The scholarship application must be submitted through the SSP Portal within the prescribed deadline.

Agriculture DepartmentMukhyamantri Raita VidyanidhiOpen to all categories with no income limit. Only girl students studying in Class 8, 9, or 10 are eligible. Applicant must be a ward of a farmer and possess a valid FRUITS ID.
Agriculture DepartmentMMRVN for Agricultural Labour ChildrenOpen to all categories with no income limit. Only girl students studying in Class 8, 9, or 10 are eligible. Applicant must be a ward of a farmer/agricultural labourer and possess a valid FRUITS ID.
Labour DepartmentPre-Matric ScholarshipOpen to all categories with no income limit. Student must be studying in Class 1–10, be a ward of a registered construction worker, and possess a valid Labour ID.
Sainik SchoolsPrematric Scholarship for Students Studying in Sainik SchoolsOpen to all categories with no income limit. Student must be studying in Class 6–10 and be enrolled in a Sainik School.
DTE (Junior Technical Schools)Stipend for Junior Technical SchoolsOpen to all categories with no income limit. Student must be studying in Class 8–10 and be enrolled in a Junior Technical School (JTS).
Department of FisheriesScholarship for Fishermen’s ChildrenOpen to all categories with no income limit. Only girl students studying in Class 8, 9, or 10 are eligible. Applicant must be a ward of a fisherman and possess a valid FRUITS ID.

How to Apply for SSP Pre Matric Scholarship 2026-27?

  1. Visit the SSP Karnataka Portal.
  2. Create a student account if not already registered.
  3. Log in using your credentials.
  4. Select the eligible scholarship scheme.
  5. Fill in the application form carefully with all relevant details.
